Through mark-making, repetition, and variation in scale, the collection translates the tactile character of corn into contemporary prints, balancing organic irregularity with a considered visual rhythm.

Kernel is an abstract print collection inspired by the organic textures and intricate forms found in corn. The project transforms the patterns, contours, and surface qualities of kernels and corn into expressive textile compositions, exploring how a familiar natural form can be reinterpreted through abstraction.



Inspiration: Abstracted forms of corn kernels and partially eaten textures.
Motif: Organic, irregular, hand-drawn forms.
Scale: Medium to large.
Repeat: Seamless all-over repeat with varied placement.
Colourways: Natural, earthy and monochrome.
