CRAFT DOCUMENTATION

This craft documentation explores the traditional hand block carving of Farrukhabad, focusing on its processes, tools, materials, motifs, and techniques. The project aims to understand the cultural significance and craftsmanship behind this age-old textile tradition. Through interaction with local artisans, we studied the challenges faced by the craft and its practitioners. The documentation also explores opportunities for contemporary design interventions while respecting the craft’s traditional identity.
